Timothy Corts

Timothy has extended experience in building and repairing both fretted and unfretted acoustic string instruments. He also has great experience in guitar and bass electronics, set ups, pickups, you name it. He is a graduate of Charles Fox “Earthworks” School of Guitar and Violin Building in the early 70’s. He studied under German Craftsmen at Scherl & Roth Violin Co. in 1973. He has been doing repairs and restorations ever since, as well as playing professionally.

Daniel Williams

Daniel Williams is a band and orchestra repair technician from Mooresville, NC. He started his company, Williams Music Co., in 2021 where he services the Charlotte, Concord, and Mooresville areas. Daniel has apprenticed and worked under some of the best in the repair community including Melody Choplin (Winston Salem, NC), Jaime Hamner (Beaufort, SC), and Jim Gleason (Florence, SC).

Daniel started his musical career, after graduating from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro where he studied K-12 Music Education and Music Performance in Percussion. He graduated in 2016 and has taught with various marching band and indoor percussion programs throughout Concord, Winston Salem, Greensboro, NC, and Bluffton, SC. Daniel moved to Red Wing, Minnesota in 2019 to attend Minnesota State College Southeast where he studied Band Instrument Repair under John Maddox, Greg Beckwith, and John Huth. He graduated in 2020 with his Diploma in Band Instrument Repair and moved to Beaufort, SC to work at Hamner Music as a Band Instrument Repair Technician and Store Manager. Daniel moved back to Mooresville in 2021 to start his own business. Daniel is an active member of the National Association of Professional Band Instrument Repair Technicians (NAPBIRT) and Percussive Arts Society (PAS).
