The three things a great repair tech has are talent, speed, and availability. Our tech has all three.
Dorian has been involved with instrument repair from a very young age. His father (a musician, teacher, supervisor, AFM local & state president, and repair tech) had his own business for over 50 years and is still repairing instruments. Dorian was an apprentice starting at age 11 and he and is father worked tirelessly on school contracts throughout the summer months. Parreott’s Music saw professional musicians like Clarence Clemmons; handled work for many regular local musicians; did repairs on brass and woodwind instruments for big music companies in NJ like K&S Music and City Music as well as many local music stores; and Parreott’s Music was the On-Call repair company for the State Arts Center for some time. Dorian learned much from the many years with his father and used his skills while he was a band director and conducted band instrument repair clinics in and out of his school district. Upon moving to North Carolina in 2017, Dorian has several music stores and local musicians seeking his talents as a repairman regularly. He repaired a mass of donated brass instruments for Guilford County
